About me

Yoga

I have been practicing yoga since 1990, initially vini yoga, later yoga according to BKS Iyngar and power yoga. I am fascinated by it, like on the first day.

In Rishikesh I practiced Shivananda yoga. I have also attended seminars with Raja Gopala, Yogi Hari and Sharat Aurora in recent years.

I belonged to the BDY / EYU for many years and, as a moderator, led external teaching rehearsals for aspiring yoga teachers.

In addition to the asanas, pranayama, I practice breath control, because calm breath also calms the mind. My meditation is the withdrawal of the senses inward, the concentration and the focus on the calm breath.

I am following the 8-part path of Patanjali.

My goal is "Samadhi", the state of bliss and inner bliss.

In 2009 I presented myself with my own yoga studio in Siegburg, Griesgasse. Since then I have been teaching authentic yoga, which I call Yoga Classic. To do this, I create an atmosphere for the participants in the yoga class that helps them to get involved in the yoga path.

For me, yoga serves the health of people, helps them to inner growth and stimulates the spirit to develop, following the image of the thousand-petalled lotus.

Each leaf of the lotus corresponds to a new insight.

Two trips to India brought me closer to the spirituality of the country. These trips took me to Rishikesh, a place of pilgrimage at the foot of the Himalayas. We visited the temple of Ananda Maya Ma, a glorious white building, in the outskirts of Rishikesh, where I prayed for my yoga studio.

I was also interested in Auroville at Pondicherry, a project, a vision for a different way of life based on the ideas of Mira Alfassa and Sri Aurobindo. I visited Pondicherry and Tiruvanamalai. From the meditation cave of the Ramana Maharshi I hiked down the mountain to the great Shiva temple and to the ashram of the famous guru.

I meditated in the Matrimandir in Auroville. The crystal ball is the only object in this building.

The colors of India are reflected in my photographs and bear witness to the opposing reality, the reality of the day and the fire ceremonies in the evening hours.
